Hotshoe Mount Broke off

The Metal piece that you screw the tripod into has broken off.
Looks like the screws stripped the holes as it detached as well.
anyone know how much this might cost to get fixed?
if its possible to do yourself?
were to get the parts?
and any other related questions :P
 
Are you referring to the piece under the camera, or the piece up on top on the handle?

Which model DVX100 do you have? Classic/A/B?

I have a DVX100B
its a small 1in x .5in metal plate that was screwed into the bottom of thecamera if needed i can take some pictures
 
The DVX100B has a replaceable tripod mount. Check with your favorate Panasonic repair center. Or get the peice that Kdawg linked to. :)


Out of curiosity; how did it get broken?

screwed in the tripod piece
put it in the tripod
someone ran into the tripod and i caught it as it was falling over, it had a soft landing but then i was holding the camera as i was restabilizing it, it just came loose
