Hot pixel

Hi,

About 10 months ago I bought a XHA1 in Japan. Now I moved back to Holland and discovered I have a hotpixel. It’s there all the time (also 0dB gain and normal shutterspeeds). I read something about the possibility to map out (mask) dead/hot pixels.
Does anybody have experience with this (on a XHA1)? Does it work in 100% of the case?
Unfortunately I don’t have any warranty in Europe (since I bought it in Japan).

Besides the annoying pixel it’s a great camera!!

Don't worry..

Call Canon service and ask them for price to reapir.. it is much possible that it won't be so expensive.. I had a same problem with JVC camera and it wasn't such a tragedy..

Did they fix it by masking the pixel(s) or replacing the CCD block?
