GH4 Hot new rumor: GH4 8K video!

I heard that "using subpixel esitmation doubling with chroma enhanced unmask sharpening, the GH4 wil be shooting video at 8K 24p" very soon!!!
There is no source for this rrumor, and I am starting it right here, so we'll see where it goes. :D
 
Finally there is something to watch in my OLED-wallpapered home theater...I was beginning to wonder why I bought all that stuff.
 
Personally I'll settle for nothing less than 16k and interstellar wi-fi with other galaxies... Oh fine - 12k will do.
 
F0.05 lenses will be released as well and you will be able to crop from 16K to SD still remaining shallow DOF.
 
The updated bios is free, but to use 8k, you have to buy new 16 Jiggawatt SD-ZZ cards that are $3,000 each
 
Unless the camera deposits $5M into an interest-bearing Swiss bank account in my name the minute I switch to "M" mode, I'll be severely disappointed and buy a Sony instead.

I get the spirit in which this was posted, but man it sure would be a good thing for someone out there to release a whole series of affordable, constant T2.8 or better primes and zooms that are actually meant for video use. (Meaning declicked aperture next to the lens mount, rotating counter-clockwise to open, with inner focus and zoom - no barreling or rotation of the casing.)

I don't remember where I've read that or heard, I will try to find the source - I think that was one of the interviews from NAB 14. Apparently Samyang is thinking about making zooms as they were smiling when someone asked them about it. They're just not ready yet to do it but it would be surprising if we would not see it being released some time in the future. It's an obvious step.

you know, I never thought of using my "Lens turbo" in the daytime. if I put it on my 1.4, does it become a .4 ?? interesting. And I have that 18-35 also.

I was going to post an 8k video still sized picture for fun, but upsizing 4k seemed like work, and VEGAS won't even render to 8K yet :D
 
The GH4 has built-in odor sensors that can be enabled with firmware. Panasonic is waiting for more people to adopt their new smellovisions.
 
C'mon everyone!!! Stop this bullcrap thread! We need more threads about SD cards, and picture profiles (even though there are already good amount of fully resourced threads about those topics), otherwise I will fail using this amazing camera that will soon take on my gigs on its own with the new update. Heard it will deposit the checks right away to your bank account, but that update won't come out until the Q1 2016.
 
The check deposit mode is in BETA right now and it does work, but it is over WIFI, so that needs to be turned on (which hurts battery life) and you have to be close to the network. Future SD cards will have 6G in them so you can make those deposits in the field without wifi.
