Hot-N-Ready

I shot this video last Sunday at the 2010 Pizza Bowl in Detroit. I was sent on an up and back trip to the game in one day from Miami. I traveled on a chartered fan plane and my assignment was to capture the whole fan experience. Anyone that saw the game on ESPN would know it was an extremely close game with a field goal win with 4 seconds left. I am so thankful we won because editing this would have sucked. I edited it in two days and I had hours of footage. I traveled with two hacked GH1's which I had both strapped to me at all times. One with the kit zoom and one with the olympus 9-18mm. I used the 20mm once in the bus at night. I wanted to get an interview but I didn't have a light so I had some people hold their cell phones up to his face and I got the shot. Audio was all directly into the camera with the Panasonic GH1 "shotgun" mic and a wireless Sennheiser mic. Because I wanted to be mobile and light, I brought no camera support. This is all shot 100% handheld and with no crazy depth of field. It was hard to figure out the pacing and not show too much or too little of any one part of the trip. I only watched it a few times before posting it to the schools web site and it could have been more polished but I am pretty satisfied.

That looked great. When I first started watching I thought WTF am I watching this for? I'm cynical that way, but I enjoyed it.

Nice work.
