Hi, most of the time i shoot 4:3, but the when i went squeeze i got a very dissapointing problem...
all the footy featuring very detailed pictures (specially green, like grass, bushy plants and ****) came out with strange fine lines. it's like the frame had been cut in several horizontal pieces and put again togheter not properly matching.

today i made a test, and it definitely has something to do with the squeeze mode. it occurs in 30p as well, wich i thought would help, since it doenst work with fields.
what kind of problem im having here? is it some capturing issue? does it have something to do with vertical detail frequency? (if yes, i think i couldnt use the THIN, but 60i only works with thin)
enough with the bs.. there go the pics! HELP ME OUT!

thanks y'all

All I see are regular interlace artifacts. 60i defaults to "thick", not "thin". In DV, even with progressive settings, you can still get "stairstepping" on diagonals, particularly those with high contrast (wires against the sky, etc.). Shoot some tests with 30P or 24P and the detail set to -2 or -3. Leave the vertical detail alone for these tests. Use the sweet spot of the lens (F/5.6 or f/4.0) focus carefully and compare.
Hope this helps.
Ken
