Horizontal Lines / Interlace problem?

Hi,
I am very new to the dvx100 and its shooting modes. I have been fiddling with settings learning what each does, and I think I have done something I didn't mean to, and I am not sure how to undo it. When I shoot at 30fps, the footage looks fine on the camera, but when i capture it into premiere, it has horizontal lines that are very visible. When I deinterlace it, the lines go away, but then the video seems laggy. I tried switching to 30p and it did the same thing?

I am sure it is something that is easily undone, I am just not sure how to make it like it was originally.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steven Bogda

It's simple because the camera always records at 60I, once you deinterlace it see if premiere will let you render, that should take of the lag. When you play it back on the camera, it knows what frame rate it originated from so it plays it back fine.

I forget the menu it's in but it's label with-in the menu is Render work area. Make sure your workarea cover the entire clip, so it renders the whole thing.

Yeah, even after I render it still looks laggy. I even pressed the reset button in hopes it would change everything back, and it still does it.

Its worked fine up until now. If I import old footage from the dvx from when i first got it, it looks fine.

I restarted the computer, and it still does it with this footage. And by laggy i dont meant it plays choppy. It just plays like it was shot in 24p but it wasnt.
