Horizonontal lines flicker way too much

I have an actor in front of a building that has several horizontal running lines where the marble brick to build the building was place. This flicker gives the scene away as videoy - I had a scene setting of V Detail +7 and V Frequency at THIN - this is probably what did it , how could I avoid this in the future and how could I save what I already shot ?

thanks !

If you're using Vegas you can right click the clip on the timeline and go to Switches and check Reduce Interlace Flicker. If you're not using Vegas I have no idea but I would assume that to be a fairly common NLE function. May The Force be with you....always.

Yessir....to the best of my knowledge it should work on any progressive footage...perhaps on all footage, but me no Barry Green. It's a subtle thing though, and may not be enough to do what you're wanting. Hey....try some Chroma Blur....that helps this kinna stuff a lot, but it will slow down timeline playback of the portion of footage you apply it to, and that portion will also take longer to render when youre done....but I'll just about bet you it will make a huge difference heading toward what youre wanting to achieve.

One way you can avoid this in the future is by leaving the vertical detail at the default: 0!
Raising that level in combination with thin setting is a sure recipe for the problem you describe.
Hope this helps.
