Hoping for book on HMC-150

Got your book

Got your book

Barry,
I bought your hmc150 book and just got it in the mail the other day.
Great job! I love it!
I'm somewhat new to independent video production. Without a lot of startup money I'm very picky when it comes to my investments. Your book reconfirmed my satisfaction in my hmc150 purchase. I'm very happy to have found it.
Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Barry,

Just received the book today. Thanks for the fast delivery and the excellent publication!!

One concern though, and I can't find this mentioned elsewhere so I thought I would ask you directly...

Is there something wrong with the printing of my copy of the book? From page 202 onwards the photos are extremely dark (way too dark), with the extreme being the two bottom photos on page 202 being completely BLACK! Am I missing somthing?

If you like a can take a photo and send you... but it seems like a printing error.

Regards

I'd definitely like to see a photo of that. If there's a printing error I'll send you a replacement, of course. Please PM a photo.

Got mine today, as said already here WOW first few pages are amazing, explaining the strobing thing etc. Filled in a lot of blanks and I love it being spiral bound (like old computer manuls) so you can leave it where you stoppe reading and come back without creasing the spine!

Thanks

Mine are almost completely dark too (page 202, bottom 2 pictures). Can barely make out what your showing.

Barry,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I IM you? Do you have a personal/work email address?

Well done Barry! Great work, is there anything you can't do??

Should I expect too see you in the US Golf Masters next year or something!!!
Thanks again.

Barry has put those shots on the CD and in the text he has said that he has done so to allow for normal inaccuracies in the printing process. The original images are meant to be dark if you take a look at the CD.

Ken

I suspect that many of you already have experience with earlier Barry Green books. I came to the HMC150 from a Canon GL2 so I'm new to Pany's way of doing things, and also to Barry's writing. I've had my HMC150 camera for several months, the book for several days. I've got to say, this book has definitely been a great purchase for me.

I've read nearly every forum message I could find on the cam, and have done a lot of googling for info on things like the Waveform Monitor, focusing techniques, etc. I am very pleased with the indepth coverage of these and many other topics in the book. I have learned more about the cam in the past three days than the past few months prior to the book.

Also, as another poster said, I really like that the book is spiral bound - much easier to read that way.

The book has finally arrived in my mailbox...
I was expecting a postman to come knocking on my door for the delivery to be honest...
Anyway, I'm on a trip of no return to know more about the (in my case) HMC152 camera!

Hey Barry,

The book has arrived today in Germany..
For all impatient ones, it lasted for 11 days from US to Germany.

Thank You Barry for this nice Book!!

The book is very well written Barry, very detailed and is put together beautifully! The paper and glossy images are an added bonus compared to the DVX book, i'm really enjoying it so far.

Yeah, I consider it a massive upgrade from The DVX Book. It costs a fortune more to print, but I think it's worth it. Glad you like it!

Jerry, I could not agree more. I also came from a GL2 and have spent hours on line learning all I could.
Yet, I've learned enough in the first 1/3 of the book to make it worth the price.

Thanks Barry
