yes chill...story made it over here to Germany as well....I like the phrase on the first page " mileage on his face" :-) And I like his voice too! Thought I knew it from AFN ( which of course couldnt be) Does anybody remember Wolfman Jack? THAT was a voice :-)))))

What he probably needs to worry about besides his addiction problems is people taking advantage of him.

I don't know which way you guys will like to take this but i've been following this since it's started and i just wanted to see what everyone else would say.

hmm an argument over money?
Lets break this down.
- Ted now has money from his endorsements so the argument is more than likely that the other family member WANTS his money, EXPECTS his money, and probably DEMANDS some of his money.
- If you read any articles about winning the lottery rule number 1 is ALWAYS change your phone number. Why? because everyone you know will WANT, expect, and sometimes DEMAND some of your winnings.
This includes family members.

I have no doubt this person got angry because they wanted his money and more importantly felt entitled to it and he was smart enough not to just hand it over (quick way to go broke isn't it?)
and a fight started.

Not knowing all the facts other than deduction I don't blame him for the argument. EVERYONE is going to want a piece of him for awhile.

You can take the argument they had in either direction with speculation. He has 9 kids and his mother said he destroyed a perfectly good family. What that really means I really don't know, as she didn't elaborate, but, even further, one doesn't know why one of his kids were there. They could have come on their own. He could have asked them to come meet him. It's really hard to deduce one way or another. I'd imagine there could be a lot of reasons to have an argument beyond just money in anyones situation.

Why has this story gotten so much play? Does America really care that much about a deejay? I thought collectively we just followed the jersey shore and lohan
He's really just a glorified morning zookeeper with that schlocky radio voice. Honestly, is it really that unique? Is there not shoe boxes full of demo cds sitting in production houses all over the country that sound like "golden-voiced dude"?
I really feel bad for any gigs this man is stealing from people who have spent thier lives busting ass in the biz.
And by all means dude, share the wealth with your family.
So yeah, I want this story to go bye-bye. Thats what I think.

If it's an argument over money at this early in the game then someone's demanding some payback. It's a shame. Their lives will under a microscope for some time. Sometimes the same people that brought you up so quickly would love to tear you down just as fast.

You feel bad for gigs he is stealing from pther people? Hahah I didn't realize the market has closed on VO talent! If you're not in by Jan 1 2011 please find another career guys.

The story has barely anything to do with his voice. His voice is great, nothing totally amazing in my own opinion, its his STORY.
It's not everyday that something like that happens and we silly americans every once in awhile enjoy a positive story that makes us happy rather than 100% mass shootings at a strip mall.

It's catharsis. From my perspective, we're living through him. How many times have we been discouraged, neglected, forgotten? We all know that pain. The theme is the same here as it is in some of our favorite movies. The underdog, down on his luck, a diamond in the rough. Suddenly he gets noticed and becomes appreciated for his talent, yada yada yada. I don't think it's just Americans that love seeing this. This story isn't going away at least until the Hallmark channel makes a tv movie out of it, which it will.

This also appears to apply to threads...
