homeless voice over man

I live in the Columbus area - I even know OF the guy who shot the video...the VO dude was on a local pop music station this morning - they're talking about giving him a job. Good for him - but also kind of sad that the station is capitalizing on his miserable story.

Here he is on camera during the radio piece this AM...

He does have a good voice. Great story. What a way to start his new year, ha.

Great story, but man, does that guy have a lot of mileage on his face. He must have gone through some real serious drug abuse. Hope he stays clean with his new fame.

I really hope this guy lands some good gigs because after dealing with many voice over artists for years, the minute I heard his voice, he's got the gift, his voice still has to go through all the tech toys to enhance what is already a great voice, I wish him well, and I would hire him in a heartbeat

I think you could make that argument for ANYONE that hires him at this point. Many have a miserable story. He promoted himself this way, someone finally noticed, got a break.

I wish someone would capitalize on my miserable story and get me a well paying job.

I think it's a great story and I'm happy the guy is getting a great opportunity.

That said, anyone else notice the guy is already mic'd up when they first drive up to him in the video? That doesn't make it less of a story. Just noticing how clear he sounds even as he backs away from the car.

Definitely noticed. And how the timing of the drive up went, etc.

Smart move
