Hobo with a Hatchet!

ahhh, He's just trying to go surfing anyway.

They should get him. I want to see him do more interviews.

That's such a weird/messed up situation.

It's crazy how nonchalantly he's talking about splitting the guy's head open with a hatchet

Nah, I think he's just the real deal. I lived in Los Angeles for 20 years. You come across homeless characters like this guy from time to time. He's definitely playing to the camera at times, but I don't think he's a fake. In college we had to do street interviews for a project and some of the people we interviewed, a couple of them homeless, you'd think were too bizarre to be real. Sometimes a person so totally embodies a cliche you think they can't possibly be for real but they do exist.

As they are saying in the YT thread, he hit him with the blunt end of the axe and didn't kill him. The driver is in custody. If that's accurate then I'm glad to hear that. The impression, right or wrong, that I got was the sharp end and guts spilling out. Such is media or lack of.
But that's good to hear then. Explains a lot. (So the hobo is not a psycho as well. :) )

The guy said himself that he's dead but that could be taken non literally and he said he split his head open so again one is led to believe...what we are led to.

I checked the CBC news and nothing on it. huh. Should be on CNN I would think in a day or two if not already? You think?

Did anybody who watched that video think the guy was just your run of the mill well-balanced guy? I'm not saying it was just a matter of time, but the guy seemed obviously all over the place with a weak grasp of reality.

I guess we should be careful who we decide to make Internet celebrities. http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local/new_jersey&id=9104988

I understand.

Let me try and give the benefit of the doubt to the person in question, Lawrence McGillvary. Just for the devils advocate if you will.

Well, he was well known and with a ...you know..and if some man took him in, as I suspect many people did, but if that man tried molesting him, then I can see that deal going down.
Not saying it's right, but I can understand how that could unfold pretty quickly. Meth or no meth. In fact it's happened here in town before at least twice. Once with an axe and once with a knife. Just sayin.
Bad things can happen to otherwise good people when they get pushed into a corner.

I hope it works out for him.

// I would not write him off so quickly as I think is happenning here. That's too easy without the facts.
