File operation: I need to record a 45-minute concert where I keep the camera continously recording. Because of the FAT32 file structure on the cards, my understanding is that the camera breaks the clips in segments...... but how do you put the segments back seamlessly Any ideas guys?

Depending on your editing software, you may not need to join the files at all. Some NLEs will recognize that a single clip spans multiple files and can take care of it automatically.

The Panasonic transcoder, for example, has this behavior.

Re: NTFS, I would be very suprised if the camera recognizes a card formatted as such.

It won't, and you have to format the cards IN-CAMERA if you want trouble-free performance. Or, at least, as trouble-free as you can get.

I guess if you're going to use all 45 (continious) minutes without any editing . . . although that would probably be pretty ugly, just use any mature editing program and it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm not familiar with this camera so I may be speaking out of school but all the P2 camera's do the same thing (observe the 4 gig limit). Always have . . . what/where's the problem (maybe I'm missing something)?

Best.
