so i was shooting today for a class project. it was a chase scene and i ran out of the classroom, down the hallway which cuts to the left or to the right. I wasnt paying attention and i ran straight into the wall going top speed. i smash the camera into the wall, then it falls out of my hand. nothing broke on it fortunately and i WAS recording and i will post the footage tomorrow, it only stopped recording when the sd card door was slammed open. i ended up hurting my arm pretty bad, and knee has a huge bruise on it and i couldnt walk on it, but hey, wounds heal for free(most do haha) but my camera wont!!! so i guess you could say i got off lucky!!!! this just goes to show how tough the hmc is!!!!!!!

my friend told me he'd put the camera back in my bag for me, and when we got back to my house, I lifted the bag out of the car, he didn't zipper it up at all, camera and all fell onto the driveway, I thought i had a heart attack. We picked it up and not a single scratch on it from a 4 1/2 ft. drop. This thing is a tank!

Oh My God..... that is a crazy story. You seriously ran into a wall though while filming? lol

.. like seriously? No lies? This is a no lies zone you know.

I have a similar experience.

I was in Hawaii shooting some volcano footage, when I slipped and dropped the 150 into the lava. After a few minutes, I reached in and wiped it off with my T-shirt. Barely a scratch.

All I read was...

"..dropped the 150 into the lava"

the thing is.....the footage wasnt that great, i was trying out a new scenefile for flourescent lights and it was just going to be filler footage just in case i didnt have enough to fill 3 minutes. and yea, this is not a lie, im putting the footage on my computer now!!!

hahaha i know!!!! believe me you, it really hurt, but i couldnt help but laugh at how idiotic i am, i go in that hallway every single day!!! i guess i just forgot how short it was.

hahaha trez. I don't think nfc got that one... I think it went over his head.. or maybe directly into it at a full running speed?

hahaha, definitely didn't get it at the moment, but i got it now! gosh i feel so stupid haha. it had to be done, im just glad it was me and not someone with no insurance. i got off lucky this time and it didnt break. im going to be more careful next time!!!

You wiped the lava off the hmc with your shirt......
Question , does kryptonite really hurt ?

I believe someone reported the HMC falling off a motorcycle at 40mph and it had some cosmetic damages and what not, but it still worked.

yea Justyn, i remember reading that except i remember reading he was going like 100? maybe i just want to think that hahaha! let this be a lesson to everyone, although the HMC may be a tough camera, always be aware of your surroundings. I actually believe i am lucky, with all the riding of my skateboard with this thing in my hands, im lucky i havent had anything worse...knock on wood *knocks on skateboard*:Drogar-SunGlass(DBG
