HMC150 Card Problem

MN Producoes

Hi Friends.

I just shot a wedding last saturday with my HMC150, it was perfect, no error message...

Now, I connected my SDHC 16GB card on my iMAC, the info says used 14.55 GB, the structure folders is there, but the folder stream is empty... When I copy the PRIVATE Folder, it is copied with 0K.

When I inset it on the camcorder (cam mode), it says card full, when i try to play the clips, it says no data... What is happening ? Any idea ? Any software to fix it (on mac or pc) ?

Some points:

  • I formated the card in the camera before the shoot.
  • If I get card's properties, it says 14.55 GB on disc, 1.51 GB available... If I get PRIVATE folder's properties (the only folder in card's roots), it says, Size: 98 KB...
  • I already tried to check it on Windows, same problem.
  • I already tried the software PANASONIC AVCCAM Restorer, but it did not work, does not find any file...

Thanks a lot, I'm desperate.

You may need to find a way to recover the card contents via an undelete or other solution. It looks like your directory does not match the fat table. Once the files are recovered download ClipWrap (and buy it) ( http://www.divergentmedia.com/clipwrap ). It's saved me on a couple of occasions when this happened.

You can take the individual MTS files and transcode them to ProRes in ClipWrap, and it can even join the files together where appropriate. Once done, drag the ProRes files in to FCP.

I also had the same problem but I could play mts files on VLC player. There is no audio with that though. Is there a way to recover the audio?
