HMC Still Impresses

So I did a night shoot with a 5D Mark II and a 24 70L and a HMC150 and a XH A1s and a few GoPro clips. All I can say is the HMC total crushed the XH A1s
for low light quality and look good with the 5D. I can say with confidence this 150 is still a great camera! You can have a look, I don't have any XH A1s in this
clips just a couple of GoPro and the rest is HMC 150 and 5D.

Sorry that is true but I was amazed at how clean the 150 was. And if you need a cheap convertible I know who can help :-)

360 or not, it indeed still impresses. That was good quality work, and the footage blended well together. I still love the HMC.

Very nice images. I wholeheartedly agree about the 150. I still use mine all the time with DSLRs and find it to be a hammer that will stay in the arsenal for a long time... No need to mess with something that works....

The HMC150 is great bang for the buck. The AVCHD codec is for real and much better than HDV. Yes it's 4:2:0 but that all you need most of the time. I really like the wide angle lens and CCD's instead of jello and split screen flashes from CMOS's. No need to upgrade to the 160 unless you want dual SD's and a longer lens.

Settings on HMC was Factory CineV, The 5D was at 1600 ISO, f7, frame rate 1/30th, Picture Style was Marvel Cine.

I love my new AF100, but I'll be danged if I'm getting rid of my HMC150 anytime soon. Eventually I'll probably replace it with an AC160, but that realistically isn't going to be happening any time in the near future. It does everything I need it to do, and does it very well.

Yeah, I'll be hanging onto my HMC150's for a long time. Just shot a concert with them last Friday, came out oh-so-nice. Easy to get great results with.
Just got a 60D and a few toys to play with, and it's a very nice piece of kit, but....the HMC150 is a real keeper for a long time to come.

I love my HMC, it gives a great image, and allows you to shoot long clips on a cheap media... I've just finished a making of / short documentary about a musical (also filmed the entire show).. it worked amazingly, it was great in low light, and kicked ass with the long record time. I really got the feeling after this project that I really don't have any reason to look at any other camera.

I had no time or budget to set up any advanced lightning, it was more a run n gun job, but turned out fine thanks to the HMC.

It all in Swedish, but you get my point xD
