HMC 150 Playback

Hi Guys
I feel really stupid asking this question.
I just bought HMC151. Just done my first bit of practise recording. The images are stunning, no complaints.

On playback, the footage is in slow motion (but recorded at 720/50p) which also means that the audio is in slow motion. Cannot anyone tell me what the problem is and how can I fix it.

Obviously there is something simple that I have not set properly?

Any help would be appreciated.

Play back on what? The camera... 50p... if you played it in a 25p time line in an NLE and for some reason, it didn't compensate... you'd be playing at 1/2 speed...

In either case it sounds... more like a camera setting or NLE setting problem...

The camera playback is perfect, audio and video. I am using Edius Nero to playback on computer monitor, and it seems to be half speed via the computer monitor.

I'm not familiar with that program, but it really does sound like the program does not understand what '50p' is, and is playing each frame for the equivalent of 1/25 of a second, which would by 1/2 speed.

How did you get the clip transfered to the computer then?

I think Adobe Premiere (and probably Vegas) have trial version that can be used to 'check things'.

In any case, it doesn't seem to me to be an 'audio' issue but perhaps a transfer or transcoding problem of the tools you are using.

From their website, at least some of that company's products can handle 50p, but the page for Neo doesn't make any mention of it.

VLC can handle basically anything you can throw at it, perhaps it will help you determine exactly where your problem is.

You are probably trying to play it in a 25p timeline.

I tries Edius, hated it, went back to premiere so cant really help much further.
