Shape Up Panasonic. Your Firmware Sight Sucks.

I've been trying my damndest to get my P2 store working with 16 gig cards. Panasonic, your site sucks. Sucks big time. It's so offensive to the eyes and any sense of ease of use, I feel it was designed as some warped practical joke. Why is it so difficult to find a firmware update for my P2 store and simple installation instructions. If Kafka wrote for the computer age, your software site would be in a passage about the dire state of man and the indignities we inflict upon eachother.

if you can hear me..... MAKE IT SIMPLE! You know, if I type "firmware for P2 store" I get a google link directly to the right link. Instructions in plain English would be nice, not written in Geek Speak.

Or is the negligence the usual corporate crap that tries to make our 1600 device obsolete so we buy another 3000.00 dollar device? I get it. Just give us more than a year and half of use before you send it out to pasture. Until this gets remedied in simple easy to follow terms, in the words of Charlton Heston, "Damn you all to Hell".

There was a thread on this exact subject about a month ago, and it seemed that most supported your post.

Panasonic needs to improve this web site with solid English language instructions and far better organization.

That being said, I just don't see it happening.

It's a bit of a catch-22 I think. Most of those drivers are made in Japan and released directly. So the folks in the U.S. have no say over what gets posted or how it's organized. Still I think a few marketing dollars toward maintaining a proper english support site with those files included would be a wise move for Panasonic.

I'd hate for someone who's maybe rented a P2 Store & HVX to go to the site and try to check if their firmware is updated before a big shoot... they'd be so pissed that they'd never buy the equipment.
