Highlites Knee Slope Please make me smarter.

Just to get off the FS700 for a second, I've been doing some googleing but would like to get some user info on your particular likings.

I've been shooting fs100 in almost entirely studio environments with controlled lighting, so I have virtually no first hand exp. with any highlite problems caused by over exposure, sunlight, reflections, etc. etc. with this cam.
I live in Florida and it's hot and sunny outside. Getting ready to shoot some outside stuff in the next couple weeks and would like to know what your knee/slope settings are when YOU shoot out in the sun?
(figure I could get a good starting point for my particular tweaking) (ie. PP1, knee at 90 slope at XX)

Also if you have something available, perhaps post an image or 2 of what you think is a good rolloff and not a good rolloff. (when I say rolloff, I assume that's a smooth transition to a blownout white?)
Sorry for the noob question, I'm just having a hard time seeing what's acceptable behavior (visually) for this cam and what others think is acceptable.

It is my opinion that the Knee causes the colour shifts in the hihglights - crank it up to 105

This will give you a good performing camera with no issues that has little dynamic range

Use refelctors in the sun where possible

IMO expose 1/3 stop under and keep the CT 200 deg colder

In terms of PP I leave pretty much alone beyond selecting Cine2, dialling a click of red out

IMO flat profiles fall apart under grading and you are better to strive for a look in camera....

Enjoy some fresh air :)

Thanks Morgan
I assume you crank the knee up so high to effectively make it virtually non effective? (providing that the exposure is set correctly?) (i.e. No knee = no color shift in highs)

ps, ditto the flat profiles, don't care for it that much myself, but then I do mostly quick production work with little time for tweaking afterwards....

Yeah, If you can´t protect you highlights enough to prevent some ugly typex blotches on faces 105/0 is the way to go.
