High School Senior Project

This was a short that I made to fulfill a requirement for graduation. I don't have a fancy 35mm adapter, so everything is the stock lens and the lighting I found in my garage.
Let me know what you think:

There are a few scenes with poor lighting, so I may reshoot some parts if I decide to enter it into a competition. Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.

Creeeepy. I like it. Kind of reminds me of a young "Dexter" from the TV show... awesome show by the way. Keep up the good work

P.S. You may want to seek professional help.... haha just jokin, I hope...

Very engaging, I forgot for a moment that this was made by high school students. The shots and narrative flow well together, and most of the shots look nice. You got a great start! Keep it up!

It was good. You may want to check the lip sync for the last line . The edit looks a hair off from the dialog.

Thanks for the compliments. I too love Dexter, so there may have been some influence from that.
I will definitely check out the lip sync at the end and try to line it up better.

Does anyone have suggestions on filming a night scene?

Reminds me of Pearl Jam's "Jeremy". Awesome little short and I love that eerie NIN song.

Thanks. I haven't seen it, but I am definitely interested in checking it out.

no complaints really, very good. was that all natural lighting?
Most shots were natural. There were a few that I used big work lights to make everything brighter. On the very dark scenes, I used a light from a lizard cage that we had lying around the house.

I liked it. It kept my attention for the whole piece and had me wondering how it would all end. Shot well, great sound... overall this is a great piece to have in your show reel!

Can't wait to see more of your work mate!

I enjoyed it. Rock on dude. Some very good shots. What's your future plans. My bro and I are seniors. Good Luck.

The narrative was very well written and executed. You had some terrific shots throughout the film and I felt a genuine uneasiness. This is ten times better than anything I saw come from my high school video productions class (even better than some of the films made by one of the instructors). All-in-all, VERY impressive for a high school production.

Very awesome. Well written dialog and complimenting shots. You'll be very dangerous one day if that's how well you can do something at your age. Thumbs up to you!

Great stuff man! Keep up the good work! I'm a student film maker as well, so I can relate how you worked on a tight budget and probably some restrictions. So great job!
