GH2 Hi, just wanted to say hi to the HG crowd...

Just got myself an GH2. I was actually extremely close to buying the MK III, but after seeing what can be done with the HG2, I changed my mind. The attraction is mostly size, since it will be used for a trip in Japan, I like to travel light. I also go a SLR magic hyperprime 12mm, and I am very close to getting the Voigtlander Nokton 17.5mm, I have been really surprised by the quality of the picture this lens is capable of...

I am really hoping I made the right decision, I owned a GF1 and didn't like it much, but I did love my HVX, so we will see. I hope to learn from everyone here.

Welcome. Love the gh2! Also love the Voigtlander. I want to eventually get the SLR magic hyperprime but couldn't afford both.

If I could only have one lens for m43, it would be the CV17.5 with a Panasonic 12-35 duct taped to its back.

Welcome, indeed! I'm saving up to get the 12mm Hyperprime myself. I have the Voigtlander 25mm (gorgeous) and couldn't be happier. The GH2 has its quirks, but the image quality in video is unparalleled in the world of DSLR filmmaking. Enjoy the new camera!
