ok not my usual skate park adventure,
a little one nighter with a mini chroma stage !!! seem sound effects ,adobe premiere ,
me and my dvx100 together all night.........

hhhmmm well i gave away the greatest yet ,
in the picture if you notice there is a turn table(recored player)
with a half cut toilet paper roll matched to the background,
basicly greenscreen tactics,evenly lighting under the stand and back ground
as well as subject lighting,i used obviusly easu to get materials at MICHEALS
here in the bay area,its a nice craft store i spent about 10$

i didnt tape at all direct conect to my pc (dual amd opteron):badputer:
i used MATROX EXTREME 100 ( THIS SETUP IS RECOMENDED IN EUROPE BUT MY INTELL DIED SOEMTIME AGO AND I USED A PCI CARD IN A PCI EXPRESS SLOT WORKS!!!!!)against recomended settings in the usa

besides that ,i capture in matrox xtools live capture,
hit the lights spin your table!!!!center you object well to be within the boarders capture,take 1 2, so on....

export into premiere 2.0 (thats what i use)
sellect the your clip(s) to the time line,
i use matrox effects in premiere to chroma key out the orange.theres no rendering for this step(nice time saving)in this step matrox allows so many realtime features,chroma and soem shadow supression to drop seams in the chroma stand,better chroma materials seem free work better.
but on a budget youll find artifatcts that stand out so shadaw supression and a little saturaton help........

next step after seeing the result of the of the chroma(dropping orange for a black looking background)
i put the adobe effects in place, motion and scale positions ,key framing within adobe is dynamyte!!

then after seeing a result of the first layer you can repeat the same steps for a new clip ,plan ,place motion scale ,ad a rotation to CLIP over the first

you should have a two layer clip with a red line time to render if you have a slow system or low $$!!
find a nice effects cd with short samples and goof off with style homies
i spent about 3 hours seting up and capturing and additional 3-5 hours at the pc
keying and motion setting,

the realtime eccelorator is the time saver for initial keying render free
anyways
i use matrox rtx 100 on a dual amd opteron nvida 7800 pcie
sata drives and 2 gigs 2700 ecc ram,nice budget system for sd or hd
with out realtime.
try kona for mac and fcp,ive no experience with video mac editing,one day but im still pc ,and i live in the birthplace of mac right down the street !!!!!!!!??

thanks for those details- I want to chroma key a spaceship. I took 3ds Max classes and made up a CG ship but it never gets the texture right, you can always tell when its CG. The way light reflects off a model gives it a feeling of substance and reality..much nicer to my eyes

i am no savvy dude with after effects,but if you are ,you could get much higher quality out of a shoot like this .

i got the same feeling lawsuit boy did after adding the credits,
i think its the sounds at the end there a bit fear striking in a way,and its a dark short to begin with just empty space with objects floating in space scared me too
font maybe ?but ill find a happy place ,eventually when i get keying and chroma more dialed ,id like to get colorful backdrops to use ,something comical ,:nads:
