Hello again,

Evertytime after i download footage from the hvx200 via firewire to the macpro (finalcut studio) i receive an error message .It reads something like this.

" YOu have disconnected the device incorrectly , you may have lost some footage"

My procedure is just turning the camera off and then swithing the cards.

Is there a procedure of swithing the cards correctly with out recieving this error message?

Thank you,

Before turning the camera off, drag the two icons to the trash or click on each icon and hit Apple + E

Hey Jack.

Not to be difficult, but you need to spend some time with both the HVX200 manual, and the Macintosh OS X operating system.

Dismounting a firewire or USB device is very basic procedure. Doing it incorrectly can cause problems.

You are using this board as basically a tutorial.

No offense intended, but you might want to start cracking the manual and reading on how the Mac, OS X, the HVX200, and FCP works.

Importing p2 cards from the desktop is covered in the manual for Final Cut Pro.

Logging and capturing DV tape is also covered extensively in the manual.

Why not start there first, in the HVX200 manual or doing a search here before asking basic questions?

Best wishes
