We have a new MacPro tower on set for editing a rough cut as we
shoot and we need an item that I couldn't get at the mac store today, we're using it to import data from from a PCMCIA card (HVX200 P2 cards). I purchased a "PCI to PC Card-M"
and it turns out that won't work with the expansion slots available on the MacPro because the new Macs only have PCI Express expansion slots. The
million dollar question... does a "PCI Express to PC
Card-M" exist and is it available in Sacramento or LA?
I also need to note that we are looking for
an add on solution w/ the Mac Pro tower for
importing P2 cards w/o having to use a seperate P2 storage device...
which is why we are hoping to find a PCI
Express to PC Card-M card.
