I shot footage in my new XF300 at 720 60P @ 50MB/s.

I logged and transferred appropriately (at 72060P @50mb/S). But data rate column in Browser window "Data Rate" says only 6.1MB/sec. The compressor column shows "XDCAM HD422 720p60 (50MB/s)".

Question: I want the BEST QUALITY IMAGE. is this correct??? or what???

Help!!!

This is correct. What you are seeing is the difference between Mbps and MB/s. The Canon XF codec records it's highest quality at 50Mbps (Megabit Per Second), which translates to approximately 6.1MB/s (Megabyte Per Second). One megabyte is a unit of data transfer rate equal to 8 million bits per second, or 8Mbps.

Check the compressor column again and I think you'll notice that it's giving you Mbps, and in the Browser window you're seeing MB/s.
