Ok well after seeing the youtube video of someone using a Zenitar 16mm on their Canon 5D mark II i was sold. Now that I have it I am having trouble making my shots look wide. I noticed that it doesn't look any diff than to my 14-140mm. Is there a special way to make my videos look like this?

I have a M42 mount too but it just wont keep that wide look when I shoot video. Can anyone help me out? Thanks. :violin:

A 16mm lens will never be wider than a 14mm lens. Your camera already has a 14mm wide angle on its zoom, that will of course be wider than a 16mm Zenitar.

The reason it looks wider on the 5D is because the 5D's sensor is about twice as large as the GH1's. That bigger sensor means that all lenses will be effectively about twice as wide.

You can easily get that look on yoru GH1, just ditch the Zenitar and get the Peleng 8mm instead. The 8mm Peleng is way wider than the 16mm Zenitar.

Well, the sensor's actually four times as large. But each focal length will appear to be twice as wide, as you said. Funny how that works. (But it obviously makes sense.)
