Help with my red budget

I know that you haven't figured out prices for RED accessories but I have to figure out a budget for the whole camera system. I know how much other manufacturer accessories are but not RED's. Jim could you give me a ballpark for the viewfinder, red raid, red rail, and red cage? Please. I need to know if the camera + viewfinder + rails + drive will be more than 30k. Could you give me a general ballpark? That's my last question before I reserve a camera. Actually I have one more. If I reserve one now will I get my camera with the first wave of production? Thanks.
 
I think your over 30k only a guess, with the RED raid..Howerver with the RED flush or RED drive you should be well under 30k. I'm just guessing I could very well be wrong! Hope I am :) Now I think about it you may be spot on!

I know you don't want to guess at a price because it could change and people would get all mad at you, but please Jim, I need to know how much of a loan to take out for the camera system. Also I don't really care what people speculate the price to be, or how much they think it should be. The price will be the price and if someone from red could give me any info I would appreciate it.
 
People have been guessing at prices from the start. Jim will not announce a price till he is ready. I think your better off calling RED drirectly. or try to PM
 
SF Geek, the res #'s are in the low 600's from what I have gathered so far. Although, with the present and oncoming release of various footage, I think there will be one last surge of reservations before the reservation program ends later this month. I think we are all on pins and needles concerning accessory prices, but given the philosophy of not grinding the customer with multi-tiered camera abilities and cost strata, I think we may be pleasantly suprised.

Since you are getting a loan, I guess you have to sit tight til prices and availability firms up in the future. I know that is no consolation, sorry.
 
SF Geek. Reserve the camera at a cost of $1,000 and arrange the loan when the prices become known nearer the release date. We have until at least January 2007 at the extreme earliest before the camera will be shipping. Most of us believe the finalised camera and shipping will not be before April and others think summer befor ready. Plenty time yet to arrange a loan i would have thought?
