HELP: Will P2 viewer view ingested files once card is removed?

Will P2 viewer on a PC view ingested, local files once card is removed?

I want to be able to verify some of my clips/ play them back AFTER they have been ingested and the card is removed, is this possible?
(Note I edit on my mac in FCP, the PC I'm talking about is just for ingesting.)

I read the P2 manual but can;t find the answer anywhere or on the net.

Yes. You need to define a virtual p2 card. When you ingest keep the card structure. I like to place cards in a folder named for the project.

In p2 viewer go to

Tools>Setting Virtual P2 Cards>Click on Entry Virtual p2 card button (its a small box with a yellow asterisk in the left corner.

Just browse to your local P2 card copy and your good to go.

Just make sure Viewer is set up to see Virtuals.

Go to:
View>Show Primary Bin>Show All P2 or Show Virtual P2. Both will work.
