!HELP!: Ticking noise every second with Tascam DR-40x

Hello,
during a recent shoot I have been using the Tascam DR-40x in combination with the sennheiser MKE600, which is connected to the recorder's left XLR input. When revisiting the sound files, I've noticed a ticking sound that corresponds to seconds in some audio clips. I'm not sure where this issue comes from or how it can be fixed. Has anyone ever encountered this problem?

Yeah, that does sound like a heartbeat. Were you holding the mic with no added grip/suspension?

Yes, I agree with others. It sounds like a resting heartbeat of around 60 BPM. I also hear sounds reminiscent of a dentist's? Running a track level Noise Gate at -31dB seems to get rid of 95% of the beats. But without hearing a full recording of what you were shooting makes it hard to determine what steps I would take to remove the sound blips.
