Hey guys
Been an avid follower of this board ever since I got my first dvx100 a cpl years ago and wanted to ask a question. After much research and after reading various posts about the HMC, HVX & HPX I decided that at this point in time the HMC was best suited for my needs . So ordered and got my HMC from B&H yesterday evening and noticed today that the lens on the camera does not fit flush against the camera body and there is a tiny gap. The left side of the camera where the zoom controller is fits flush however on the right side where the lens and the squarish section meet....(where the AVouts are located and mic /line inputs are labeled on the camera body) there is a 2-3mm gap. I've never seen this on any of my cameras cameras before...Is this normal on the HMC? Should I return it? Am I worrying for nothing?
My crazy schedule has not allowed me a chance to test the camera as yet and will do so tomorrow... I tried to call BnH today to ask them about this but it was already after 1pm and they had closed for the day.
