Hello everyone I just purchased my own Canon XH A1. I just tested a few settings and put a video on vimeo. The only thing I changed to it was put it in 24f.

Here it is:

http://www.vimeo.com/2788286

Now I know the quality doesn't look very good. I captured the footage through Adobe Premier Pro Cs3. In premier it said the video frame size was 1440 by 1080. But when I exported it to a movie I think it shrunk the video to 720 by 576. Then when I uploaded it to vimeo it wasn't in HD.
So can someone help me out or give me some advice on how to inprove the picture quality on my footage.

When you export, set your video size to 1280x720. Also, make sure it's set to progressive or non-interlace. 24f is progressive. Your clip looks like interlace.

As far as the camera goes, turn off auto iris, auto gain, auto white balance, etc. To get the best picture quality you'll have to learn how to use the camera in manual mode. The A1 isn't a point and shoot camera. It will take some time to learn how to get the best out of the camera.
