GH1 Help please, i need a camera :)

Hello, im new:) over here.

I decided to buy a camera GH and i will use mainly for recording video. But im a little bit confused and my knowledge about photography and video are .... well, im a beginner and this will be my first serious camera.

I can get the GH1, but im not really sure to want get it because one thing. I was reading about recording on GH1 and the impossibility of change iso during that on manual mode (only if i stop record). GH2 has the same problem?. I need to know that. I know about leave camera to decide change iso on recording without stop on auto mode, but if GH2 let me change iso during recording on manual mode without stop, i prefer to buy GH2.

I hope someone could help me, im desperate :undecided

you cant change iso in manual mode whilst recording on either. the closest thing you will get is setting iso to auto. if it were possible you would see the iso step changes in the footage anyways making the footage unusable. it would be no different to stopping, changing and pressing record again.

Thx for all your replies. I was thinking about what should i buy. Finally, i decided to wait to GH3. I dont like GH2, still quality images are poor for me.

I thought its main purpose was for video? i wouldn't hold my breath on the gh3 being lightyears better in image quality either. my two cents. good luck with whichever way you go.
 
If you wait for the GH3, you will face 2 major problems:
1- It does not exist – yet. And there is no roadmap for its release.
2 – you will probably have to wait at the very least one more year after its release before finding a good hack that will match the ones on the GH2.

If I were you, I'd go with the Gh2. The stills are not that bad if you know your camera.
