HELP - PAL Banding 1080 25P in USA - shoot tomorrow

I have a shoot tomorrow that has just been switched from 1080 24p to 1080 25p at the last minute. I was setting up my 7D tonight for shoot tomorrow (10:00 AM EST), and noticed that when the 7D is set to 1080 25P with shutter speed of 1/50, there is a horrible band that travels from top to bottom across the screen. I am guessing this is because I am in the USA and the frequency of our electricity is 60 Hertz. If I adjust the shutter to 1/40 or 1/60 it appears to go away. Anyone have any insight about this? Is it OK to shoot 1080 25P at 1/40 or 1/60?

Would really appreciate any feedback.

What causes the band? Are you pointing the camera at a television monitor or flourescent or other ballast lighting? There shouldn't be any problem with the LCD itself. You can shoot with 1/40 or 1/60 but the exposure and motion blur will change.

This has been talked about in depth. It's a CMOS issue, and you absolutely must use either 1/40 or 1/60th if you want to avoid it. It happens under fluorescent or mercury-vapor or sodium-vapor or HMI lights that use magnetic ballasts.

Just stick with the line frequency of the power and you won't have problems. Definitely, unquestionably, shoot 1/40 or 1/60, whichever you prefer (1/60 = sharper and more staccato motion, 1/40 = blurrier motion but more light in the camera).
