(help me) Raw footage vs. CC edited

Look at this image... all the shots here were shot with a master ped at 0... and specifically the top left, the contrast was boosted extremely, and also the bottom right...

Not really any noticable grain to me :)
 
Hmm... interesting... This brings to light that I have either been mislead or my poor man's camera is more poor man's than I gave it credit for. Interesting.

I must be missing something though. If there is no grain increase with increasing the contrast on DVX footage, then why not shoot at max ped?

I never said there was no grain increase.. I've never shot at +max Ped because I was afraid of that very thing... added grain to the shots... at 0 you are fine.
