Help! how to fix shaky Hands When VideoTaking?

When I take footages, I often find my hands shake much, and when I video edit, most of my footage turns out to be shaky. This has been my frustration especially since I want it to be smooth.

Sometimes I want to take footage of an event so I have to walk around with the camera.

Is there any tips or ways to prevent my hands from shaking? Or any tips to make my footages more smoother?

You want to shoot with the widest (shortest focal length) lens possible. The longer the lens the more visible the movement.

How are you handling the camera? Handheld? If so you may want to invest in steadicam-like equipment...there are some very cheap alternatives that will work just fine.

You might find that something like a Spider Brace helps remove most of the shakiness, at a low cost.

For free, look into using the optical image stabilizer on your camera.

Irish whiskey does it for me.

Otherwise wide angle lenses, shoulder support, and balancing the load will help. On an instinctual level, I've found that using my body to pan and turn is better then using my arms.

Try to use the viewfinder as much as possible rather than the lcd. You brace the viewfinder against your face and this helps tremendously to steady the camera. Experiment with hand position on the camera, you'll discover what is most comfortable.

Try to get good at bare hands handholding before using braces or stabilizers. You're just starting out and good handheld technique is essential in pro ops.

As it hasn't been said yet, I'll say it: Tripod.
You might lose a little time (and takes?) by bringing it with you, but you will end up with more good usable shots at the end of the day.

And a good runner up for moving around a lot (and often the preferred choice) is a Monopod.

Add weight to the camera. Also its not just the hands. Stand like you would when playing tennis. Slow down your breathing. Above all don't be nervous.

I had shaky shots on a loose fluid head/tripod when I just started shooting stuff the that was more serious than just a hobby, due to the fact that I was just TENSE/Filled with Adrenaline.

Spend more time behind the camera. When I first started shooting, I couldn't believe how shaky my shots were and how fast I got tired. I instantly thought to myself that I'd never be a great cam op. Now, that's not to say I am a great cam op now, but after years of shooting and many, many, many hours behind the camera I can definitely say it gets much easier and much more natural to handle the cam, and it shows in your shots.

Thanks, BTW I do like the idea of buying other equips to stabalize my camera, but does other methods( that does not involve buying equips) work?

for example : "Eat high potassium foods like bananas and exercise regularly and you should notice an improvement."
