FS7: Help help! : Fs7 locked down

Hi Community!

First time writing on the forum and I'm desperate for help. During a job, I powered on my FS7, as usual, and went directly to format both my XQD Cards. When formatting, it took an unusual amount of time, as long as 10mins. So I took the cards out, and powered the camera down, but the FS7 never powered down, even though the switch was turned off. So, I took the batteries off, wait a bit, and powered it all over again. This time, both XQD Card slots turned on with blinking yellow lights, the camera didn't respond to any button, or menu or even record. For my job's sake, I could get an image through my Odyssey 7Q+ via SDI and was able to record 1080HD PRORES 422 and my job could be finished. Since that job, 2 weeks ago, the camera has been acting the same way, each time you turn it on, yellow light come blinking through the XQD Slots and non of the dials work, only when I connect the Grip arm I can get to the camera's Menu, but cannot do a factory reset, update the firmware, nor format the cards, it's just locked down with yellow lights. I can only record through my Odyssey, but only HD, since the internal recording is locked down.

Please, anyone, let me know if there is a FIX for this or if anyone has ever gone through something like this with an FS7.

Thank you in advance!

Have you done a total camera reset. I'm not near the camera and can't remember the menu the reset is in but i would try that. Just make sure you have no cards in the cam. The reset will set the camera back to the factory settings. Keep us posted. Good luck.

Yeah, I've tried everything, factory reset, even updating firmware, but through all the internal processes the camera just freezes at the last %.

Do you have any accessories attached when powering on? Definitely remove any lens adapters, etc. when trying the reset.

Ricardo. 2 weeks is a long time. Why did you wait so long to post here and why not contact Sony immediately?
Also depending on where you bought it they may have a service connection.

Good luck and tell us what happens.

Yes, it is definitely a long time. Just got caught up with other jobs that didn't require 4K and since I could shoot with the Odyssey at HD, I didn't wanted to lose my camera at service. But, truly, I was just wishing it was a "let it rest for a while" kind of thing. It's just sad.
