Hey guys I happened across a great deal. I got the Canon 50mm f/1.8 FD & Canon 28mm f/2.8 FD lenses for $25.00.

I would love to use these on an upcoming trip next weekend and need an adapter.

I was looking @ the Ciecio7 FD for 55.00, but that seemed a little high, but they guaranteed infinity focus and the build looked satisfactory.

BUT they are based out of the UK and shipping would take forever. There is no overnight option.

Does anyone know of a company or where I could get a Canon FD to m4/3 adapter with a decent build quality and price here in the states for faster shipping? Some of those plastic ones on ebay look a bit too cheap for me.

I am on a budget though.

@imdjay, I sure hope you didnt pay $115 for it!!! It looks just like my $17 one.

Edit: by the way, I've bought several M4/3 adapters, mainly from Hong Kong, in the $17-25 range. None have been plastic, and all have worked fine (including no problem with infinity).

HA wow i didn't look at the price when i linked you, that was the page i bought it from and seems they jacked the price, which is what sellers usually do when they are out of stock. i think it was like 22 bucks and i offered 18. might want to try that or message them to see if they have any

oh and infinity focus shouldn't be a problem, i'd test for you but adorama still hasn't gotten me my af100 yet. very pissed about that... but anyways, i can only comment on its build, which is metal and feels solid, tiny bit of play with the lens side. also since its a breech mount you need to be very careful to line it up and twist properly to activate the aperture ring. infinity focus was a problem for FD to other mounts because of the flange distance, it can't get deep enough into other lens mounts with an adapter to get to it's necessary flange distance for infinity focus, but M43 shouldn't have that problem because the sensor is much closer to the mount and so the lens can be spaced to the proper distance

I just offered the guy 18.00 for his 120.00+ ad on ebay. Out of 9 offers, he chose mine. I have chosen to overnight it for 19.00 so I can have it by friday.

If this country can make Canon FD adapter that can compete with made-in-China, I wouldn't worry about the future of USA. But dire reality... we have too many talking heads. Away from them, I was drawn into photography then here. So many Chinese goods we buy. Their quality is improving, too.

I was in the same boat as the OP. I wanted the Ciecio7 FD adapter because of all the rave reviews, but also needed something fast to get shooting. So, I ordered a Ciecio7 FD adapter on eBay and then ordered a Fotodiox adapter on Amazon. The Fotodiox was sold by Amazon itself, not a marketplace partner. Guess what? The Ciecio7 adapter arrived BEFORE the one from Amazon. That totally surprised me! I would not have ordered the Amazon one if I had known that. So, the shipping for the Ciecio7 was very quick considering it comes from Poland. I think it took about a week to get to me in California.
