Helios Lens Compatibility

[jag0]

I recently pulled the trigger on this lens,

ebay Link

However, afterwards i noticed there are a few versions of the 44. I was wondering if THIS version is the one that will work with the 60d (with the m42 adapter) and have good picture for video?

Thanks in advance

This is one of the 44M-4 models, it will fit perfectly with a M42-EOS adapter. I have the exact same 44M-4 version (mine has serial 90388530, so very close to yours) and it's a great lens, very sharp wide open and at all apertures and with a unique character, you'll love it.

I have the Helios 44-4 as well. The first Helios I bought was a 44-3 and it would not work with the M42 to EOS adapter. Not all 44-3s have this problem, but the ones made in 1993 do have this problem. Here is a link that goes into more detail.

I agree with stip. You are going to love the Helios 44.
