I friend here flies out of Long island and he says the biggest problem is going to be vibration and the only way to really get rid of it is to use a gyro stablizer.

Take the doors off if you can......
Stay wide on your video and that will help with the vibration problems... the more you zoom in the more the vibration problem you will have. It's all in the technique and the ship you fly in, the smaller ones tend to vibrate more from my experience.
I've never shot with a small camera like a DVX etc (shot TV news for years) so I don't know how they react. I found from experience shooting with the camera on my legs in my lap was good and not off my shoulder in smaller ships
With stills, you just point & shoot....
If you have the doors off and do a lot of banking, don't bring extra gear unless you tie it all down in the ship as it tends to fall out doing 45 degree banks..EEKKK

Helicopter shooting is fun but its very dangerous, in TV news biz, we always knew the rule of thumb was "WHEN you crash & not IF you crash" ... and yes I did crash once and hit a building other time....but I'd fly in a heartbeat again if I had the chance......
