be able to withstand large temperature ranges. Some cameras have problems when it is too hot or too cold.
 
Don't forget humidity. RED should have o-rings to protect from dust and humidity. Would cold affect the batteries or camera first? I know cold affects tapes. I hate tapes. I don't live where it is cold. Is flash memory affected by cold? Hard drives? Discs? Which is the best recording media for cold weather? I am not going to film "March of the Penguins 2," but I do live in Miami where humidity and its friend fungus ruin cameras. RED should be operable in extreme temperature conditions. Splash proof would be nice too.
