hdv with fcp6

hello everyone.

i have bought my xha1 and final cut studio 2 a while ago. i wondered if some of you guys or girls had any opinions on workflow and how to handle hdv with fcp doing transitions and effects.
what is the most effective way to work?

hope to get some good information on this. thanks alot in advance.

HDV is no different to DV really. I import and work with HDV just the same as DV in FCP6. So, perhaps you could be more specific in what you are looking for.

What is 'not' working for you right now? What are you having trouble with?

hello. thanks for reply. well, honestly i am not at all experienced when it comes to this. and i have just edited dv before and starting with hdv... well, i have read about prores422 and all this. and that the quality on hdv will be very reduced when editing like it was dv.

anyway, if this is not so, it makes me happy. all this fuss with hd and prores codec has made me a bit confused....

maybe someone can explain a bit about this? hope so. it would be immensly appreciated...
