HDTV Flicker

That's what I was afraid of. I hate living on the second floor. At least it's not plasma.

My "gf" has one and the picture, IMO, is much better than my 42" Westinghouse LCD. However, it ran into a weird "sweating" issue when she first got it. There was literally moisture in the screen that would go away as the LCD warmed up.

Now, it's beginning to have a display issue where you have to turn it on, then off, then on again to get a video signal.

Hardly. It's a strobing, so a still image will just show you what the color is at that split second. I pulled out the DVX hoping to pick some of it up, but it doesn't seem to register into the camera.
Just curious. You don't have the connections going through a VCR do you?
Could be copyright protection.

If not... sounds like a bad panel. Best to bring it in.

Just trying to rule out everything in the connection path first.

go to this website. http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/channels

type in your zip code and see what digital channels are broadcast in your area.

if it says something like channel 90 program 2, type in 90.2 with your remote.

Nice, once I get everything looking right, I'll be using this site a lot. I'm not used to having channels that have decimals in them. I'm also not used to having 4 of the same channel. That's weird, too.

Final update: After trying everything they suggested (HD box, changing cables, etc), we took the TV back. They exchanged it, and the new one looks great. No problems what-so-ever. Thanks for all the help.
