After over 4 months of work, we are excited to announce the launch of HDSLR 101, a complete training guide for people new to DSLR video. Whether you have shot stills for years and are new to video, or have been shooting video for years and have never picked up a DSLR…we will cover all the basics of DSLR video workflow and have you comfortable shooting video on your own HDSLR.

You can see the first episode and find out more information here.

I'm new to HD DSLR, having just picked up a 7D. I'm still stumbling around the menus and am unsure which accessories I need, so sign me up. You're off to a good start with this.

I strongly recommend Phil Bloom's DSLR DVD (even if you don't shoot w/ a Canon) - super professional presentation, packed with great info. Pretty much a must have for any Canon owner.

HDSLR 101 a good start, although it does tend to meander a bit (and it could use a bit more demo footage), but fo' free, not too shabby.

the guy operating the camera can't seem to lock his tripod in place. the 101 vid keeps going left to right and it's kinda making me sick.

hopefully i can keep my dinner down and continue watching.

Our goal was to create a training series that got you up and going in just a few hours. We cover everything you need to know to be comfortable shooting video on a HDSLR. Technique and style are reserved for our other training series.

It had good info, but you could prolly chop it down to half of it's total run time and still provide all the same basic knowledge. I look forward to the rest of the series...
