HDR shooting

Cheeseweezl,

Like I said I have been using tone mapping with photoshop and cannot tell the difference between tone mapped images and HDR. that's why I always wonder why people spend so much time and effort doing HDR as it is very difficult to discern save for very trained eyes.

Bottom is tonemapped Top is 3 bracketed exposere?

that's very interesting. actually the top is the single exposure and the bottom is bracketed. the giveaway is the city lights. they are a little hot in the top picture while nicely exposed in the bottom.

but this illustrates my point (and boulder's) that if you shoot correctly and know how to process, the hdr look is possible with a single exposure, including video.

If you are going for the look that Cheez has demonstated, just run your video through Photoshop using the Lucisarts Plugin. Play around with it until you find the look you like.
