GH2 HDMI monitor flickering and not staying on

When I plug in my GH2 to a HDMI monitor via HDMI.. it does this thing where it flickers in and out, like either a cable connection is coming loose or something is making the signal switch back and forth. I thought it was the LCD/viewfinder swapping back and forth but it kept doing it even after I turned that off.. any ideas? Its a brand new cable so I'd hate for it to be a bad cable.

It is probably the cable, I have had the best luck with Canon cables, or you can just get a few different ones from eBay. Hopefully, it is the cable and not the connector.

Its a cheapo 15' cable I got off ebay. I hope its not the connector. I've only used the monitor twice. Its just a 22" HD computer monitor.

The mini HDMI is the most fragile thing there is about this camera. I always have 3 HDMY cables in my bag. Other things I have double, but HDMI I always get 3.
It's so easy to break, just bend it and it's broken.

I would say it's the cable. next time, buy a bunch, you WILL go through all of them on the long run.
also try it with camera on tripod and dont touch, if it keeps on jumping, it may be the camera or monitor.
test each part separately (camera on different monitor, with different cable, monotor with a different HDMI source...)
Trouble shooting this kind of thing only rely on you testing each component. We cannot help you much until you are done with all the testing.

I have that problem with my GH2. The flicker happens if the HDMI cable isn't perfectly straight in but exerting even a slight downward pull on the connector. My GH2 is mounted on a Stroboframe flash bracket with the handle closest to the HDMI port. With the HDMI cable plugged in, I secure the cable to the bracket handle with a velcro strap to eliminate the downward pull. Flicker is gone.
