HDMI cable for client viewing area

Can't seem to find any mini-HDMI to HDMI cables longer than 10 feet. Is there signal loss and that's why? Or am I not exploring the best option to get signal to the HD monitor?

Planned on using a Panasonic 17" monitor with DVI-in with a HDMI to DVI adapter. Any better options?
 
We bought an HDMI adaptor, so you can use a regular HDMI cable. BUT, I'm pretty sure that when you connect an HDMI cable to the camera it turns off the LCD on the the unit itself. it's an either/or situation.
