GH2 HDMI and focus assist

Hello,

Don't really know if this was already asked but I've searched for it and came out with no results so...

Is there any option to have focus assist when you use 4/3 lenses and a HDMI monitor at the same time?

I ask this because it was way easier to rotate the focus barrel and have magnification right on instead of pixel-to-pixel on the HDMI monitor.

I just did a small shoot the other day with an HDMI monitor, and as far as I can tell, you can't get the zoomed-in focus assist while the camera is outputting an HDMI signal. Unless I missed something? Anyone else care to comment?

Yes, that was also my case. I went to shoot this weekend with a HDMI monitor for the first time and became surprised by the lack of focus assist. No matter how many times I've ran the menus for some kind of HDMI setup I couldn't found any.

Focus assist does not work when anything is plugged into the HDMI port. But if your HDMI monitor has peaking, that would negate the need for in-camera focus assist.
