HD Varicam Film

[mikegrasso]

Hi, we are currently working on an HD short, all shot with Panasonic Varicam. I will try to get some pic's. Take a look at the site.

Like the site ... looks promising.

Good luck ... and I'm from Jersey, so let me know if you are in need of help ....

Great site, and the story seems like a hoot! Very clever. You have a budget of $25,000? How can you be shooting on a Varicam? I'm assuming it's rented, but you must be pulling in every favor owed you to get freebies for the rest of production... which is great! Tell us a little more about the equipment you're using. Is it mostly handheld, what lenses, etc. Also, how are you editing the footage? Are you going to rent a DVCProHD deck? Will you use Avid, FCP, or something else? Details!

Congratulations on getting this far. Can't wait to see screen grabs and footage!

EDIT: I just re-read your post, and realized it's a short film, not a feature length one. The budget makes a lot more sense now. How long are you in production? A few weeks?

Cool. Any clips, trailers, screengrabs?

[Jaime Valles]

Yeah, screen grabs would be great! Nice dolly and crane.

So, what's up with the blow-up doll?

[mikegrasso]

I don't have any grabs or trailer yet. We are still looking for an editor. I will post them ASAP. The blowup doll was used as a funny part in a Bachelor party scene. Just to let you know I am the guy with the green shirt and slate.
