HD to SD downconvert moiree in FCP

After we shot and edited our last music video, all in 720P 24PN, we exported the final sequence as a DVCPRO HD quicktime and re-imported it into a DVCPRO 50 24p sequence for output to Digibeta. We added 3:2 pulldown and all, but what's weird is that, in portions of the video where there was a tight pattern, like on a brick wall, in the DVCPRO 50 sequence, moiree appeared. It was never present while shooting, nor was it ever present in the HD sequence. Has anyone else had this problem and what can you do about it? Also, how do you export a DVCPRO HD 24p quicktime WITH 3:2 pulldown added? Or, if that can't be done, how do you get a DVCPRO HD 24p movie to DVD with pulldown added? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

To answer your last question first, you can just go ahead and author a 24p DVD as the player will add the pulldown.

What I am not getting here is the DVCPRO HD to DV50 to Digibeta workflow.

Depending upon your capture card, you could downrez to SD and just go SDI right into your Digibeta deck.

In any event, on output FCP would add the pulldown back so you just need to continue to work in a 23.98 sequence.

As far as your monitoring issue, how were you monitoring your DV50 footage? And what do you mean "added 3:2 pulldown"? As I said, FCP does that for you.
