HD-SDI Express Card

[MarkIScott]

Anyone have any experiences with the Imperx HD_SDI Express card used with a 17" Powerbook?

I would like to use it as a 1 to 1 HD monitor instead of using $4k 8.9.or 10" monitors or 24" $5k + monitors.

Thanks For Your Help

Mark

Correct me if I am wrong, but a 17 inch Powerbook has a PCMCIA (AKA PC CARD) Card slot, not an express card slot, and that is an expresscard/54, which are not compatible. Additionally, their description makes it sound like its designed for windows (talking about AVI files), which would fit, since no mac's that I know of have a expresscard/54 slot on them.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you are looking to use a powerbook with this guy, I don't think you will find much success.

grimrebes,
Currently, I am using a Dueladaapter to get P2 content into my 17" Macbook Pro. I thought I could use the adapter for the Exprees Card 54 Imperx card with the DuelAdapter?
Thanks, I also have an older 15" Mac Pro with the 54 slot but the native res is lower than the 1920 x1080 output.
