Plus another point is that I really, REALLY doubt the HVX will do 1080p natively without pixel shifting or something like that. Why? Because true 1080p camera technology is INCREDIBLY expensive and it would be really surprising if they got that in the HVX. I know it's giving people incredible tools, but I think true 1080p might be asking for too much. If that's the case, I don't see why anyone would want to shoot 1080p if it's a "trick" to get it up there. I'd rather stick with the true native resolution of 720 for having less chance of additional electronic noise from no upconverting and more framerate options. In the end though, remember it isn't about resolution, it's about what's in front of the camera.

Well thats what great with to HVX you can shoot in everyway you want.

As for 1080P. The cam doesnt need to have native 1920*1080 chip. The codec isnt that "good" anyway. So just make chips that give us good DVCPROHD.

I even think the cam will give better pictures than if thay had put a 1/3 CCD with 1920*1080 in the cam. To small sensors.
